What's wrong, in plain English
On certain 2019 BMW X5 xDrive40i and xDrive50i models, the bolts holding down the driver's seat and/or the driver's seat belt anchor may not have been tightened enough at the factory. Those bolts are what keep the seat and the belt firmly attached to the floor during a crash. If they are loose, the seat or belt may not hold the driver the way it is designed to in an accident. A dealer checks each bolt and tightens it correctly.

2. Contact your BMW dealer or BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417 to schedule the inspection.
3. Have the dealer torque the seat and seat belt bolts to specification — the work is free of charge.
