Car Recall Tracker

Is your car under recall?

2,297 safety recalls from NHTSA, sorted by make and model and explained in everyday language. Recall repairs are always free at a franchised dealer. Checked against NHTSA daily — last update Oct 28, 2026.

Where is my VIN? Is it private?Your VIN is the 17-character code on the lower left of the windshield, on your registration and usually on your insurance card. The NHTSA recall number is printed on your recall letter (for example 24V-744). Your VIN goes straight from your browser to NHTSA's public decoder to identify the year, make and model; we never receive or store it. We then show the recalls for that model year. To see which are still unrepaired on your exact car, use the official NHTSA VIN lookup.
