Ford Bronco Sport and F-150 Parking Lights May Flicker

NHTSA campaign 22V686000 · Reported 2022-09-14 · Ford Motor Company

low How serious is it? About this label

This reduces how well others can see you, especially at night, but it is a lower-level problem, the notice does not tell owners to stop driving, and the repair is already available.

What's wrong, in plain English

When you turn on the headlights, the parking lights may flicker instead of shining steadily. Lights that flicker make it harder for other drivers to see your vehicle and judge where it is, which raises the chance of a crash. Because of this, the vehicle does not meet the federal rule covering lamps and reflectors. The fix is a new LED driver module, and dealers have been installing it since owners were notified in March 2023.

What you should do

1. Look up your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to confirm your vehicle is included.
2. Contact your Ford dealer or Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 (recall number 22C22) to schedule the work.
3. Have the LED driver module replaced — it is free of charge.
