Mercedes-Benz GLB tires may have damaged sidewalls

NHTSA campaign 24V780000 · Reported 2024-10-18 · Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC

high How serious is it? About this label

A sudden flat at highway speed can cause a loss of control with no warning, so this one deserves a prompt dealer visit; the notice does not tell owners to park the vehicle.

What's wrong, in plain English

The right front and right rear tires on some 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLB 250, GLB 250 4MATIC, and GLB 35 4MATIC vehicles may have damage in the sidewall, which is the outer face of the tire between the tread and the wheel. Damaged sidewalls can let the air out all at once instead of slowly leaking. A tire that goes flat suddenly at speed can pull the vehicle to one side. The dealer inspects both tires and replaces any that are damaged, free.

What you should do

1. Enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to confirm your GLB is included in recall 2024100014.
2. Contact a Mercedes-Benz dealer, or MBUSA at 1-800-367-6372, and ask for the free tire inspection.
3. Have any damaged tires replaced at no charge, and check your tire pressure before long drives until then.
