Hyundai Elantra HEV recalls
1 recall covering model years 2023. To check whether your vehicle is affected, look up your 17-character VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls — a recall may apply only to some vehicles of a given year.
Reported 2023-08-18 · Campaign 23V589000 · Model years: 2023
A software mistake in the unit that controls the electric motor can make the car accelerate on its own after you take your foot off the brake pedal. That means the car may move faster than you intended without you pressing the gas. The fix is a software update to the motor control unit, done by a Hyundai dealer at no charge. Affected cars are certain 2021 through 2023 Elantra Hybrid models.
