Lexus RC, GS and IS fuel pump may quit high
The low-pressure fuel pump that sits inside the fuel tank can stop working. That pump pushes gasoline to the engine, so if it fails the engine can sputter and stall, possibly while you are driving. Toyota has already mailed letters warning owners about the safety risk, and the full repair is still being prepared. Dealers will replace the entire fuel pump assembly at no cost, and a second letter will go out once the remedy is available.
