Porsche 911 and Cayman manuals lack child-seat instructions low

Reported 2019-12-11 · Campaign 19V875000 · Model years: 2019

Nothing is wrong with the car itself. The owner's manual does not explain clearly enough how to install a child safety seat using the car's built-in anchors. Because the instructions are not specific, a parent could hook the seat up wrong without knowing it, and a seat that is not installed properly may not protect the child in a crash. Porsche will give you a printed supplement for the manual with proper installation instructions, free of charge. The recall began in February 2020.
