Toyota Prius C missing passenger airbag warning label
low How serious is it? About this label
If the label is missing, occupants may not follow the proper restraint usage guidelines, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash. The notice does not tell owners to stop driving.
What's wrong, in plain English
A sticker is missing. On these Toyota Prius C cars sold in Puerto Rico, the factory did not attach the label that warns about the front passenger airbag and tells you where children should ride. Nothing on the car is broken — but without that label, someone may put a child in the front seat where the airbag could hurt them in a crash. Toyota will mail replacement stick-on labels to owners at no cost.
