Very serious, because steering can be reduced suddenly and with no warning; the notice does not say to park the vehicle, but this should be handled right away.

What's wrong, in plain English

The steering knuckle is the part that connects each front wheel to the steering and suspension. On some Aviators it may have been made incorrectly, and a bad one can crack. If that happens, you lose some of your ability to steer the vehicle, which could cause a crash. There is no warning light for this. Ford dealers will inspect the front knuckle and put in a new one if there is a problem, free of charge.

3. Have the front knuckle inspected and replaced if necessary — there is no cost to you.

Summary: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021 Lincoln Aviator vehicles. The steering knuckles may have been manufactured improperly.
Safety risk: The improperly manufactured knuckle may fracture, reducing steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
