Ford F-350 Super Duty labels overstate safe payload capacity
medium How serious is it? About this label
An overloaded vehicle can increase the risk of a crash. The notice does not tell owners to stop driving.
What's wrong, in plain English
Certain 2020 Ford F-350 Super Duty trucks with the 6.7L diesel have stickers and paperwork that claim the truck can carry more weight than it really can. The tire and loading label, the safety certification label, and the truck camper loading document all list numbers that are too high. If you load the truck to the printed figure, you can go over its safe weight limit and overload it. Your dealer will replace the labels and document for free.
What you should do
2. Contact your Ford dealer, or Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 (recall 21S06), to schedule the label replacement.
3. Get the corrected labels and camper loading document installed — they cost you nothing.
