Ford Explorer windshield pillar trim can fall off
low How serious is it? About this label
A detached trim piece can fall off the vehicle, becoming a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash. The notice does not tell owners to stop driving.
What's wrong, in plain English
The A-pillar trim is the plastic strip that covers the post between the windshield and the front door. The clips holding it may not be fully snapped into place, so the trim can work loose and come off the vehicle. A piece that lands in the road can be a hazard for you and for drivers behind you. Dealers will inspect the trim and replace it if needed, at no cost.
