Ford Maverick tire and load label shows wrong numbers
low How serious is it? About this label
Incorrect tire and capacity information may result in the vehicle being overloaded, increasing the risk of a crash. The notice does not tell owners to stop driving.
What's wrong, in plain English
The label on your truck that lists how much weight it can carry, what pressure to put in the tires, and what size the spare is may show the wrong numbers. If you go by that label, you could load the truck heavier than it is built to handle or run the wrong tire pressure. Nothing is broken on the vehicle itself, but the information is wrong. Ford is mailing owners a corrected label free of charge to put on.
