Ford Maverick Hybrid dashboard gauges may not light up

NHTSA campaign 25V123000 · Reported 2025-02-28 · Ford Motor Company

medium How serious is it? About this label

Fairly serious — you are not told to park the truck, but driving without a working speedometer or warning lights raises crash risk, so get the free software update promptly.

What's wrong, in plain English

These Mavericks were repaired under an earlier recall, but the fix was done wrong. The result is that the dashboard display may not light up properly. That means your speedometer, gear indicator, and warning lights — the ones that tell you about brakes, airbags, or headlights — might not show. Without them, you would not know how fast you are going or that something is wrong with the car. The dealer will reload the dashboard software.

What you should do

1. Check your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to see if your Maverick is covered.
2. Contact your Ford dealer or Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 and give them recall number 25C06.
3. Schedule the dashboard software update — there is no charge to you.
