What's wrong, in plain English
Mercedes-Benz is recalling certain S 580 4MATIC and S 580 E 4MATIC vehicles because the front brake hoses may crack and leak brake fluid. When brake fluid leaks out, the brakes do not work as well, so the vehicle can take longer to come to a stop. The dealer will replace the front brake hoses to fix the problem, at no cost to the owner.
What you should do
2. Contact a Mercedes-Benz dealer, or MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372, to schedule a repair.
