Audi A3 passenger airbag may switch itself off high

Reported 2019-06-19 · Campaign 19V474000 · Model years: 2018

A bad electrical connection in the seat sensor that tells the car whether an adult is sitting in the front passenger seat can make the system think something is broken. When that happens, the car shuts off the passenger airbag, so it would not inflate to protect that person in a crash. Dealers will replace the connector and move the cable so the problem stops. Audi began this recall on September 12, 2019, and the work is free.
