On some 2024-2025 Honda CBR650R motorcycles, engine vibration can rub and damage the wiring for the turn signal switch. Damaged wiring can short out and blow a fuse. When that fuse goes, you lose your turn signals, your brake light, your speedometer and your horn all at once. Other drivers can no longer see when you are turning or slowing down. The dealer inspects that wiring and repairs it if needed.
On some 2024 Honda CB650R and CBR650R motorcycles, the bolts holding the gear shift arm — the lever you press with your foot to change gears — can work loose and come off. If that happens, you cannot change gears at all while you are riding. Honda dealers will put on a new gear shift arm at no cost to you. Honda began mailing letters to owners in 2025.
