On these cars with the Executive Package, parts inside the front passenger seat may rub against each other. That can confuse the sensor built into the seat, the one that figures out whether someone is sitting there and how big they are. The airbag system uses that information to decide how to fire the passenger airbag, so in a crash the airbag may not go off the way it should. A dealer will inspect and repair the seat for free.
Toyota found that on some 2018 Lexus LS sedans with run-flat tires, the way the tires were mounted onto the wheels may have cracked a stiff reinforcing layer inside the tire wall. A cracked layer can let the tread — the rubber that grips the road — peel away from the rest of the tire. If that happens while you are driving, the car can become hard to steer and control.
