On these Mercedes SUVs, the rearview mirror and the camera mounted behind the windshield may not be attached firmly enough, and either one can come loose and fall off. If the mirror falls, you lose your view of what is behind you. If the camera falls, driver-assist features that help keep you in your lane and brake for you stop working. Either situation makes a crash more likely. A dealer replaces the windshield and reinstalls the mirror and camera.
