Ford trucks and vans missing tire information label

NHTSA campaign 22V384000 · Reported 2022-05-27 · Ford Motor Company

low How serious is it? About this label

Missing tire information could lead to an incorrect tire or rim being installed, or incorrect tire pressure, increasing the risk of a crash. The notice does not tell owners to stop driving.

What's wrong, in plain English

The safety label on your vehicle is missing the tire size, rim type and correct tire pressure numbers for the front and rear axles. Nothing is actually broken on the vehicle. The problem is that you, a tire shop, or a future owner could fit the wrong size tire or wheel, or inflate the tires to the wrong pressure, because the numbers are not there to check. Dealers put on a correct replacement label.
