Ford Super Duty and Lincoln Navigator wiper arms can break

NHTSA campaign 26V204000 · Reported 2026-03-31 · Ford Motor Company

medium How serious is it? About this label

Moderate to serious: the vehicle drives normally, but losing a wiper in bad weather can leave you unable to see, so have it checked soon.

What's wrong, in plain English

The metal arms that hold the windshield wipers can break. If an arm breaks, that wiper stops sweeping the glass. In heavy rain or snow you could suddenly be left with little or no clear view through the windshield while you are driving. A dealer will inspect the wiper arms and replace them if needed, free of charge. Ford mailed owner letters in August 2026, and you can look up your VIN online now.

What you should do

1. Enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to see if your vehicle is included (Ford's recall number is 26S24).
2. Call your dealer or Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 to book the inspection.
3. Have the wiper arms inspected and replaced if necessary. It is free.
