Very serious — leaking fuel near an ignition source can cause a fire; the notice does not tell owners to park the car, but treat this as urgent and get it repaired as soon as possible, especially if you smell gasoline.

What's wrong, in plain English

The pipe you pour gas into connects to the fuel tank, and on these TLX sedans that joint may have been welded badly at the factory. A bad weld can let gasoline leak out. Leaking fuel near anything hot or sparking can start a fire. The dealer will replace the entire fuel tank assembly at no charge to you. Owner notification letters were mailed in early February 2025.

Summary: Acura (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2021-2023 TLX vehicles. The fuel filler neck and fuel tank may have been improperly welded, which can result in a fuel leak.
Safety risk: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the fuel tank assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 3, 2025. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Acura's number for this recall is JKX.
