Some 2025 BMW X3 30 xDrive vehicles may have front brake discs that were damaged while being shipped, before they were ever bolted onto the car. Brakes with damage may not work properly, and brakes that do not slow the car as they should make a crash more likely. BMW is replacing both front brake discs and the front brake pads at no charge. Owner letters were expected to go out in early June 2025.

1. Check your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to see whether your X3 is affected. 2. Call your BMW dealer or BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417 to book the repair, even if your letter has not arrived. 3. Have the front discs and pads replaced free of charge.

Summary: BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2025 X3 30 xDrive vehicles. The front brake discs may have been damaged during transport before they were installed on the vehicle.
Safety risk: Damaged front brakes may not function properly, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the front brake discs and brake pads, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 6, 2025. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.
