What's wrong, in plain English

The decorative trim strips on the driver and passenger doors were not attached properly on some of these Jeeps, and they can work loose and fall off. A piece of trim lying in the road, or flying off at speed, is a hazard for the drivers behind you who have to swerve or run over it. Dealers will look at the door trim and replace it where it is needed, free of charge.

2. Contact your Jeep dealer for an inspection appointment, or call FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403 (recall 77C).
3. Have the door trim inspected and replaced if needed — there is no charge.

Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the door trim, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 25, 2025. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 77C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning September 18, 2025.
