Kia Telluride front seat backs may fail in crash

NHTSA campaign 26V105000 · Reported 2026-02-23 · Kia America, Inc.

high How serious is it? About this label

The danger shows up only in a crash, and the notice gives no warning against driving, so you can keep using the vehicle while you arrange the free inspection.

What's wrong, in plain English

Certain 2025 Kia Tellurides with power front seats left the factory with a manufacturing mistake in the metal frames inside the driver and front passenger seat backs. Because of that error, the seat backs may not hold a person properly in place during a crash. If a seat back does not do its job, someone in the front could be hurt worse in an accident. Dealers will inspect both front seat back frames and replace them if needed, free.
