The turn signals at the back of these cars can stop working from time to time. The problem comes and goes, so the lights may work one moment and not the next. The low-pressure fuel pump sits inside the gas tank and pushes fuel toward the engine. In these vehicles that pump can fail. A stall in traffic, at highway speed, or in an intersection can easily lead to a crash. The dealer replaces the pump inside the tank with a new one.
A software glitch can stop the audio and display screen from starting up properly. When that happens the screen stays blank, including the backup camera picture that is supposed to appear when you shift into reverse. Without that view you cannot see a child, a pet, or an object behind the car, which makes backing into something more likely. A dealer reloads corrected software into the display system, free of charge, and it is usually a single short visit.
