Reported 2026-07-01 · Campaign 26V422000 · Model years: 2024
The integrated brake system in these vehicles can malfunction. When it does, you can lose the power assist that makes the brake pedal easy to press, so the pedal goes hard and the vehicle takes longer to stop. The fault can also stop the anti-lock brakes and the stability control from working, which can let you lose control of the vehicle. The dealer inspects the brake unit and replaces it if needed.
Reported 2026-01-30 · Campaign 26V056000 · Model years: 2024
Wear on a part inside the engine's starter motor can make the starter overheat and catch fire. A fire in the engine bay can spread and injure you or your passengers. The repair is straightforward: a dealer replaces the whole starter motor at no charge. Owner letters were mailed July 21, 2026, and the recall covers both the listed BMW models and the Toyota Supra, so check which brand's service line applies to you.
Reported 2024-10-02 · Campaign 24V739000 · Model years: 2024
On these BMW cars and SUVs, the combined brake unit can act up. When it does, you may lose power brake assist, meaning the brake pedal gets much harder to push and the car takes longer to stop. The same fault can keep the anti-lock brakes and the stability control from working right, so the car may be harder to control. Dealers will replace the brake module. Even vehicles already fixed under earlier recall 24V-104 need this new repair.
Reported 2024-09-18 · Campaign 24V697000 · Model years: 2024
Welds inside a small motor in the brake control unit can break. If that happens, you lose power brake assist and the rear brakes stop working, so the pedal gets hard and the vehicle needs much more distance to stop. The anti-lock brakes and the stability control may also quit, which makes the vehicle harder to keep under control. Dealers will replace the whole brake unit for free.
Reported 2024-02-12 · Campaign 24V104000 · Model years: 2024
Your vehicle has an integrated brake system that can stop working correctly. If it fails, the brake pedal can suddenly get much harder to push, so you have to press far harder and the car needs more room to stop. The same fault can also knock out the anti-lock brakes and the stability control, the systems that keep the car from skidding or spinning during hard stops and slippery corners. The dealer replaces the whole brake unit.
Reported 2023-10-18 · Campaign 23V700000 · Model years: 2024
The steering wheel's ground wire may not have been attached correctly at the factory. That wire powers the system that senses whether your hands are on the wheel. If it does not work, the car may not notice when you let go, and the feature that automatically brings the car to a safe stop when the driver is not responding may not switch on. The dealer checks the connection and reattaches it.
