Hyundai Venue recalls

3 recalls covering model years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2024. To check whether your vehicle is affected, look up your 17-character VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls — a recall may apply only to some vehicles of a given year.

Hyundai Elantra, Kona and Venue can lose engine power high

Reported 2024-05-01 · Campaign 24V308000 · Model years: 2024

Your engine has a part called the EGR valve, which routes some exhaust back through the engine. On these vehicles, the wiring inside that valve can short out. If that happens, the engine can lose power, so the car may slow down or stop moving even while you are pressing the gas pedal. That could happen anywhere, including in traffic or on the highway. The dealer replaces the entire valve assembly at no cost to you.

Hyundai Venue seat belt part may explode in crash high

Reported 2022-06-27 · Campaign 22V458000 · Model years: 2020, 2021, 2022

Front seat belts have a device that yanks the belt tight in a crash. On certain Hyundai Venue vehicles, that device can explode when it goes off, throwing metal pieces inside the car that can hit and injure the people in it. A dealer will fit a cap over the driver and passenger belt parts for free. If your Venue was already fixed under the earlier recall 21V-796, you still need this new repair done.

Hyundai and Genesis seat belt pretensioners can explode in crash high

Reported 2021-10-13 · Campaign 21V796000 · Model years: 2021

On some 2021 Hyundai Elantra, Elantra Hybrid, Venue, Genesis GV80 and 2022 Genesis GV70 vehicles, the front seat belts have a device that tightens the belt in a crash. That device can blow apart when it goes off, throwing metal pieces inside the car and hurting the people in the front seats. Hyundai has since replaced this recall with newer ones, so even cars already fixed need the new repair.
