A software error affects the backup camera. The screen may show a blank image when you shift into reverse, so you cannot see what is behind the vehicle. Or the camera picture may stay on the screen after you have shifted out of reverse, which can distract you while driving forward. Either situation raises the risk of a crash. A dealer will update the rearview camera software free of charge.
These trucks and cars came with a 360-degree camera system. The anti-glare coating on the rear camera lens can break down over time, which makes the picture on your dashboard screen look foggy or cloudy. When the image is unclear, you cannot see what is behind you as well when backing up, and you could hit something or someone. Dealers will replace the rearview camera at no cost to you.
On certain 2017-2019 Lincoln Continental sedans, the small motors inside the door latches may not work right, so a door may not latch all the way even though it looks closed. A door that is not fully latched can swing open while you are driving, which can injure someone inside the car or anyone nearby. Ford is having dealers replace the latch assemblies on all four doors.
