Ford Super Duty and Lincoln Continental Rearview Cameras Fog
medium How serious is it? About this label
Lack of a clear rearview camera image can reduce the driver's visibility of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. The notice does not tell owners to stop driving.
What's wrong, in plain English
These trucks and cars came with a 360-degree camera system. The anti-glare coating on the rear camera lens can break down over time, which makes the picture on your dashboard screen look foggy or cloudy. When the image is unclear, you cannot see what is behind you as well when backing up, and you could hit something or someone. Dealers will replace the rearview camera at no cost to you.
