Porsche Cayenne, Panamera, Taycan: backup camera may go blank medium

Reported 2025-12-19 · Campaign 25V896000 · Model years: 2019, 2021

When you shift into reverse, the backup camera picture may not appear on the screen. That leaves you backing up using only your mirrors and your own look over your shoulder, which makes it easier to miss a child, a pet or an object behind you. Federal rules require that image to show. Porsche dealers will load updated driver assistance software at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on February 13, 2026.

Porsche Taycan and Cayenne portable charging cable can overheat critical

Reported 2023-12-13 · Campaign 23V841000 · Model years: 2019, 2020, 2021

Some of these electric and plug-in hybrid Porsches came with a portable 220/240-volt charging cable. If you plug it into a home outlet that cannot handle that much electricity and charge to 100%, the outlet or the cable can get very hot. That heat can start a fire. Porsche says to stop using that cable for now and charge with the 110-volt home cable or a public charging station instead.

Porsche Cayenne missing seat part may disable passenger airbag high

Reported 2021-05-05 · Campaign 21V318000 · Model years: 2020, 2021

The front passenger seat in these Cayennes was built without a heating element in the seat back. That missing part can throw off the system that senses whether someone is sitting in the passenger seat and how big they are. Because the car may misjudge the passenger, the front passenger airbag may not go off in a crash. The seat otherwise looks and works normally, so there is no sign anything is missing.
