Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator Second-Row Seat May Shift
high How serious is it? About this label
In the event of a crash, a seat that moves may not properly restrain the seat occupant, increasing their risk of injury. The notice does not tell owners to stop driving.
What's wrong, in plain English
The middle seat in the second row may be missing one or both of the reinforcement brackets that belong in its seat track. Without them, the seat could shift or move during a crash instead of staying put. A seat that moves cannot hold the person in it properly, so that passenger could be hurt more badly. Ford will check the seat and, if brackets are missing, replace the center seat frame. A second letter follows once the remedy is ready.
