Cadillac CT6 turn signals do not shut off
medium How serious is it? About this label
If the turn-signals do not automatically deactivate, the driver may fail to turn them off manually. An erroneous active turn-signal may mislead pedestrians and other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash. The notice does not tell owners to stop driving.
What's wrong, in plain English
On some 2019 Cadillac CT6 cars, the turn signal does not switch itself off after you finish a turn. Normally, turning the steering wheel back cancels the blinker automatically. With this fault, the signal keeps flashing until you reach over and turn it off yourself, and it is easy to forget. Other drivers and people crossing the street may then think you are about to turn when you are not. A dealer will replace the turn signal switch.
