Cadillac CT6 accessory wheels have wrong tire pressure sensors
medium How serious is it? About this label
Drivers may drive the vehicle with low tire pressure without a low tire pressure warning, negatively impacting the vehicle handling and increasing the risk of a crash. The notice does not tell owners to stop driving.
What's wrong, in plain English
If you bought your CT6 with the dealer-installed 20-inch accessory wheels, the sensors that watch your tire pressure are sending on the wrong radio channel. The car cannot hear them, so the low-tire-pressure warning light on your dash will never come on, no matter how flat a tire gets. You could drive on a badly underinflated tire without knowing it, which makes the car harder to handle. Your dealer will swap in all four correct sensors for free.
What you should do
2. Contact your Cadillac dealer, or GM customer service at 1-586-596-1733 (recall N192279200), to have all four sensors replaced.
3. The replacement is free — do not pay for the sensors or the labor.

- Summary
- General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2020 Cadillac CT6 vehicles equipped with dealer-installed accessory 20" x 8.50" wheels (RPO 5JO or SHH). The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensors use the incorrect wireless radio frequency and cannot illuminate the low pressure warning light when the tire pressure drops below the recommended level. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems."
