Some 2018 Porsche Panamera models, including the hybrid and Sport Turismo versions, have a control unit that was soldered incorrectly at the factory. The bad connection can make various systems in the car cut out now and then, and those dropouts can affect how the car drives. Because the problem comes and goes, it may work fine one day and act up the next. The dealer replaces the control unit free.

Incorrect soldering of a control unit may result in the intermittent failure of various systems, possible affecting vehicle driveability.
Safety risk: Impaired vehicle driveability can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Porsche Cars North America will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected control units, free of charge. The recall began May 17, 2019. Owners may contact Porsche's customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is AKA5.
