Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon fuel tanks may leak

NHTSA campaign 21V064000 · Reported 2021-02-11 · General Motors, LLC

critical How serious is it? About this label

This is serious because leaking gasoline near an ignition source raises the risk of a fire, so get the tank replaced right away rather than putting the repair off.

What's wrong, in plain English

The fuel tank on these vehicles is built from two layers bonded together, and on some trucks the glue between those layers was left out. Without it, the tank can leak gasoline. Leaking fuel near anything hot or sparking can catch fire. There is no fix you can do yourself: the dealer replaces the whole fuel tank at no cost to you. Watch for a strong gasoline smell or puddles under the vehicle.

What you should do
