This recall covers a single 2021 Escape hybrid. The large battery pack that helps drive the car can fail. If it does, the car can suddenly lose power to the wheels while you are driving, with no time to prepare. You could be left coasting in traffic or on a highway. Ford is replacing the battery pack at no cost to you. Because only one vehicle is involved, most owners will not be affected.
