Volvo VNL air tank bolts may break, dropping tank
high How serious is it? About this label
The notice does not tell owners to park the truck, but a tank falling onto the highway could cause a crash for you or other drivers, so have the fasteners replaced promptly.
What's wrong, in plain English
These trucks carry an air tank that stores compressed air for the brakes. The bolts holding the tank's bracket were tightened too much at the factory and may have already cracked or broken. If enough of them fail, the tank can come loose and fall off the truck onto the road, where it becomes a hazard for you and for traffic behind you. Your dealer will put in new fasteners at no charge.
