On some 2020 Kia Telluride vehicles, the high beam headlights can fail. Your regular low beams still work, but you lose the extra reach that high beams give you on dark country roads and unlit highways, so you may not spot a person, an animal, or a stopped vehicle until you are close to it. Dealers will inspect the high beam headlights and repair or replace whatever has failed.

Safety risk: Inoperable high beam headlights may reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair or replace the high beam headlights, as necessary free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 9, 2024. Owners may contact Kia customer service at 1-800-333-4542. Kia's number for this recall is SC299.
