Ford Bronco Sport and Escape fuel leak can cause fire
critical How serious is it? About this label
This is a fire risk, which puts it among the most serious recalls; the notice does not tell owners to park the vehicle, but get the free interim software update as soon as you can.
What's wrong, in plain English
A fuel injector — the part that sprays gasoline into the engine — can crack and leak fuel under the hood. Gasoline dripping onto hot engine or exhaust parts can start a fire. Dealers can update the engine software now as a temporary measure; the full repair, a new fuel rail and injectors, is expected around July 2026. Vehicles already fixed under the earlier related recalls still need this new final repair.
What you should do
2. Call your Ford dealer, or Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 (recall 25S76), and ask for the interim engine software update now.
3. Return for the final repair — new high-pressure fuel rail and injectors — when parts arrive, expected July 2026; both visits are free.
