What's wrong, in plain English

Certain 2024 Ford Bronco and Ranger vehicles have bolts holding the high-pressure fuel pump in place that may not have been tightened enough at the factory. Loose bolts can let gasoline seep out of the pump. Leaking fuel near anything hot or anything that makes a spark, such as parts of the engine or the exhaust, can catch fire. The dealer replaces the mounting bolts to seal the pump properly.

What you should do

1. Enter your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to see if recall 25V597000 (Ford number 25S90) applies to your vehicle.
2. Call a Ford dealer, or Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332, and ask for the earliest appointment.
3. Have the fuel pump mounting bolts replaced, which is free of charge.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2024 Bronco and Ranger vehicles. The bolts securing the high pressure fuel pump may not be tightened properly, which can result in a fuel leak.
Safety risk
A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the high pressure fuel pump mounting bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 25, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S90.
