Ford Super Duty rearview camera image may not appear

NHTSA campaign 25V686000 · Reported 2025-10-10 · Ford Motor Company

medium How serious is it? About this label

A rearview camera image that does not display properly can reduce the driver’s view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. The notice does not tell owners to stop driving.

What's wrong, in plain English

On these F-250, F-350 and F-450 trucks, the 360-degree camera system may fail to show a proper rearview picture in certain lighting. If the image behind the truck does not come up correctly, you cannot see what is back there while backing up, which raises the risk of hitting something or someone. Dealers will update the camera software free of charge. The fix is being released in stages by model year; Ford mailed a first warning letter October 30, 2025.

What you should do

2. Contact your Ford dealer, or Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332, and ask about recall 25SA8 and whether the fix is available yet for your model year.
3. Get the free software update as soon as your phase of the repair opens.
