Porsche Macan and Panamera Rear Seat Belt Anchors Loose high

Reported 2023-06-26 · Campaign 23V443000 · Model years: 2018, 2020

The seat belts for the outer back seats are bolted to the seat frame at the bottom. On these cars, that screw may not have been tightened enough when the car was built. In a crash, a loose anchor can pull free, so the belt would not hold the person in the seat the way it should. Dealers will replace and properly tighten the lower screws on both rear outboard seat belts.

Porsche Macan headlights missing caps, can be knocked off-aim low

Reported 2022-08-30 · Campaign 22V656000 · Model years: 2018

The little caps that cover the aiming screws for the low-beam headlights are missing on these cars. Without them, the headlights can get knocked out of aim. Poorly aimed headlights may light up the wrong part of the road, so you see less at night, or they may shine into the eyes of drivers coming the other way. A dealer will look at both headlights and put in any caps that are missing.

Porsche Macan Passenger Airbag May Not Deploy high

Reported 2021-03-03 · Campaign 21V131000 · Model years: 2018

A pressure-sensitive mat built into the front passenger seat tells the car whether someone is sitting there. Over time that mat can break down and stop detecting a passenger. If the car believes the seat is empty, it will not fire the front passenger airbag in a crash, even with a person sitting in it. That passenger would have only the seat belt for protection. Dealers replace the sensor mat and the seat cushion at no cost.

Porsche Cayenne and Macan ski bag strap may tear low

Reported 2018-11-28 · Campaign 18V844000 · Model years: 2018

These vehicles were ordered with the optional ski bag, the long bag that lets you carry skis through the rear seat. The strap that holds the bag in place was sewn with the wrong thread, so the seams on that strap can tear. If that happens, the ski bag is no longer held down and could come loose during a crash and injure someone inside the vehicle. Dealers will replace the ski bag at no charge.

Porsche Macan control unit failure may disable alerts medium

Reported 2018-05-16 · Campaign 18V318000 · Model years: 2018

Some 2018 Porsche Macan and Macan S vehicles have a control unit that can fail. If it does, warning messages and alerts on your driver display may not appear. The failure can also affect how the car drives, and it may keep some safety features from working the way they should after a crash. Porsche dealers will replace the faulty control unit at no cost to you. Notices went out to owners starting July 27, 2018.
