A rear door that can swing open on its own is a real injury risk for passengers; the notice does not say to stop driving, but avoid seating anyone there until it is repaired.

On some four-door Wranglers, the latch for the right rear passenger door may have been installed in the wrong spot. When it is out of position, the door may not close and lock into place the way it should. That means the door could pop open on its own, including while the vehicle is moving. Anyone sitting in that rear seat could be hurt if the door opens unexpectedly.

1. Check your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to see if your Wrangler is covered. 2. Call your Jeep dealer or Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403 (recall UB6) for an appointment. 3. The dealer repairs the right rear door latch reinforcement free of charge.
