This recall covers a single 2018 emergency vehicle built on a Ford F-550 four-wheel-drive crew cab chassis. It was fitted with Whelen brake lights that were recalled separately. Depending on how those lights were wired, they can glow even when nobody is pressing the brake pedal. Drivers following behind would see a brake signal that is not real and could be confused about when the truck is actually slowing down. The builder has already contacted the owner and replaced the lights for free.
