What's wrong, in plain English

On some 2019 911 GT2 RS and 2020 911 Carrera S Coupe cars, the bolts that hold the driveshaft to the wheel hub may not have been tightened enough at the factory. The driveshaft is the part that spins the wheel and makes the car move. If those bolts are loose, the driveshaft can come apart from the wheel hub while you are driving. Porsche dealers will tighten the connection properly at no cost.

3. Have the dealer tighten the driveshaft-to-hub connection — the repair is free.

Summary: Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2019 911 GT2 RS and 2020 911 Carrera S Coupe vehicles. The bolts connecting the driveshaft to the wheel hub may not have been properly tightened.
Safety risk: If the driveshaft disconnects from the wheel hub, it can increase the risk of crash.
Remedy: Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will properly tighten the driveshaft connection to the wheel hub, free of charge. The recall began August 9, 2019. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is AKB2.
