What's wrong, in plain English

The fuel lines on these diesel trucks may leak fuel into the engine compartment. Diesel pooling or dripping around a hot, running engine is dangerous: if it reaches anything that can ignite it, the truck can catch fire. Dealers will look over the fuel lines and put in new ones if they find a problem. The inspection and any new parts are free of charge.

What you should do

1. Check your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to see if your truck falls under campaign 19V498000 (Chrysler's recall V76).
2. Schedule the fuel line inspection with your Ram dealer, or call Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403.
3. Let the dealer inspect and replace the fuel lines as needed, free of charge.

Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the fuel lines, replacing them if necessary, free of charge. The recall began July 18, 2019. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is V76.
