Modified Dodge Grand Caravan fuel pump gasket can leak
critical How serious is it? About this label
A fuel leak that can lead to a fire is a serious hazard, so get this repaired as soon as possible and stop driving the van if you smell gasoline or see fuel under it.
What's wrong, in plain English
Vantage Mobility is recalling certain Vantage-modified 2016-2019 Dodge Grand Caravan vans. The gasket that seals the fuel pump to the fuel tank can break down over time and allow gasoline to leak out. Leaking fuel near anything hot or sparking can start a fire. Vantage will supply the parts and pay a repair shop to replace the fuel tank gasket, and will reimburse owners who have the work done.
What you should do
2. Call Vantage Mobility customer service at 1-800-488-9082 to arrange the parts and the repair shop.
3. Have the fuel tank gasket replaced — parts and repair costs are covered by Vantage.
