These are vans converted by Rollx for wheelchair use. The straps that hold a wheelchair use retractors, which work like a seat belt: they pull in slack and then lock so the chair cannot roll. On these vans, the QRT-Deluxe and QRT-Max retractors may fail to lock. If they do not lock, the wheelchair and the person in it can shift or slide while the van is moving, which raises the risk of injury. Rollx and the restraint maker will check the retractors and replace them if needed.

Vantage Mobility is recalling certain Vantage-modified 2016-2019 Dodge Grand Caravan vans. The gasket that seals the fuel pump to the fuel tank can break down over time and allow gasoline to leak out. Leaking fuel near anything hot or sparking can start a fire. Vantage will supply the parts and pay a repair shop to replace the fuel tank gasket, and will reimburse owners who have the work done.

The metal latches that anchor the rear seats to the floor are held on by welds that may not be strong enough. The welds on the outer second-row seats can fail in a front-end crash, and the ones on the third-row bench can fail in a rear-end crash. The second-row bench and bucket seats also may not hold up to the required loads, so a seat or its belt may not hold someone in place.

The pistons inside the rear brake calipers may not have enough protective coating. Without it, pockets of gas can form in the rear brake system, and that can make the rear brakes less effective than they should be. You may not notice anything day to day, but the vehicle could take longer to stop, which raises the chance of a crash. Dealers will bleed the brake system to flush the gas pockets out, free of charge. This recall started September 29, 2018.

The computer that runs the engine has a small part inside, a voltage regulator chip, that can fail. When it does, the engine can shut off while you are driving, or the vehicle may not start at all. A stall in traffic leaves you without engine power and can put you in the path of other vehicles. Dealers will replace the whole engine computer at no charge.
