Poorly aimed headlights make night driving less safe and raise the chance of a crash, but the notice does not tell owners to stop driving, so have the headlights checked.

What's wrong, in plain English

Certain 2019 Nissan Titan trucks with LED headlights have incorrect aiming marks on the headlight units. Those marks are what a technician uses to point the headlights in the right direction when the truck is serviced. If the marks are wrong, the headlights can end up aimed too high, too low, or off to the side. That can leave the road ahead poorly lit at night, making it harder to see what is in front of you.

What you should do

2. Contact a Nissan dealer, or Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669, to schedule an inspection.

Summary: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2019 Titan vehicles equipped with LED headlights. The headlights may have incorrect aiming marks. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Safety risk: The incorrect marks may cause the headlights to be aimed incorrectly during servicing, resulting in insufficient illumination of the road while driving at night, thereby increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and, as necessary, replace the headlight assemblies, free of charge. The recall began October 20, 2020. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is PC751.
