Nissan Titan and Versa front turn signal bulbs crack
medium How serious is it? About this label
A moderate safety issue — a turn signal nobody can see increases the chance of a crash, but the notice does not tell owners to stop driving.
What's wrong, in plain English
The bulb in the front right or front left turn signal can crack and stop lighting up. When that happens, drivers coming toward you and people crossing the street cannot see that you are about to turn. You may not notice the problem yourself, since the bulb is at the front of the vehicle. A dealer will look at both front turn signals and put in new bulbs if they need replacing.
What you should do
2. Call your Nissan dealer or Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 (recalls PM986 and PC811) for an appointment.
3. Have the bulbs inspected and replaced at no cost to you.
